Welcome and thank you for your interest in the Berkeley Buddhist Temple’s 115th Anniversary Celebrations! We are excited to honor 115 years with a program of activities to share our history, improve our facilities and enjoy our sangha.

facilities upgrade fundraiser
We have a goal to raise $200,000 to replace leaking roofs and make improvements in the front of the Temple. The fundraiser is open now through December 31st, 2026.

CATERED LUNCH CELEBRATION
Everyone is welcome - please come celebrate 115 years and enjoy a lunch together!
When: Sunday, September 13th after service at BBT
RSVP: Please RSVP HERE by September 10th. This is to help us better estimate the headcount for food, but please feel free to attend even if you didn’t have a chance to RSVP.

ANNUAL TEMPLE PICNIC
The Sunday service will be held outdoors followed by a BBQ lunch provided by BBT. Potluck salads and desserts requested by attendees! There will be bingo and games too!

Photos and information about the rich history of the Berkeley Buddhist Temple will be added to the website. The photo wall in the social hall will also be updated. In commemoration, we will also be taking member photos after services on the following dates:
Keiro - Sunday, October 11th
Members - Sunday, October 18th
Dharma School Families - Sunday, October 25th at the Halloween Party

NORIA WINERY LUNCH PARTY
Raise a glass to 115 years at the final event of the program! Join us for a Japanese lunch at the local Noria Winery. Sip, relax and savor the celebration knowing it contributes directly to the 115th Anniversary Fundraiser.
